YSL by Proklaim: Review
“YSL” sounds almost like a prayer, although it doesn’t explicitly speak of redemption. This new single by Proklaim is the light at the end of the tunnel that men who have gone astray need.
The production of the song is something else as it features a backdrop that is eerie, as well as a hook that is much more unnerving because it seems to peer right into your soul. The chorus is composed of multiple layers and melodies with incredible harmony. The tempo is lively and the lines have a poetic quality. At the same time, this song gives off a relaxing vibe in many different ways. On its lyrical front, it is a commentary on some of the topics that have made headlines in recent news stories. Throughout the course of the song, Proklaim made multiple references to the devil. It’s a hard-hitting piece of music about a woman named Eliza Fletcher who was raped and murdered. Following this, Proklaim addresses issues such as drug abuse, violence, the evil that exists in mankind, and men who have lost their way. It isn’t anything more than the truth of one man, but it strikes close to home and has an impact on those who can relate to it in several ways.
“YSL” is one of a kind release that you need to have on your playlist or you’ll be missing out on a lot more than just the melody that it has to offer!
