Miami’s alt-glam-punk heroes, Roxx Revolt & The Velvets, are back with a vengeance on their latest single, “33.” Released under the independent label Archive Records, this track is a social commentary wrapped in a sonic Molotov cocktail.
The song explodes from the speakers with thumping drums that set the pace for a heart-pounding adrenaline rush. Guitars bend and grind, creating a wall of anarchic sound. Then, the vocals kick in. The singer unleashes a torrent of lyrics with his high voice and frenetic delivery, oozing funk and urgency while getting positively unhinged.
But it’s not just the lead vocals that pack a punch—it’s the backing vocals, too. With enthralling excitement, they join the singer in a chorus of defiance, boosting you with an empowering adrenaline rush that’s as infectious as electrifying.
As the guitars clash against each other and the drums drive the rhythm forward, the music builds to a fever pitch, leaving you breathless and exhilarated.
“33” is a departure from Roxx Revolt’s previous sound, showcasing a band unafraid to experiment and evolve. The song doesn’t shy away from its social message but delivers that message with the force of a sonic sledgehammer.
Roxx Revolt & The Velvets are coming to peel back new layers of themselves and get you reeling in their storming takeover of the alt-rock scene. Keep an eye on these guys—they’re going places.
