The Word66 is making waves again with their brand-new single “37 Miracles,” a fiery, riff-driven anthem that doubles as the title track for their upcoming five-song CD 37 Miracles. With the legendary Danny Miranda of Queen and Blue Öyster Cult fame anchoring the bass and a new vocalist front and center, the band shows no signs of slowing down. Add in their partnership with Paul Crosby, ex-drummer of Saliva, and it’s clear The Word66 is aiming to push their message of faith, peace, and love even louder into the rock stratosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the music. “37 Miracles” kicks off with rumbling heavy beats that hit like a punch to the gut, guitars revving like a muscle car at full throttle, and that signature grainy, deep vocal delivery growling out the words with equal parts ferocity and conviction. It’s a hard-edged sermon set to a thunderous soundtrack, and whether you’re in it for the message or the sheer headbanging energy, you’re hooked.
On the flip side, “Tell Me” strips things down emotionally but keeps the intensity high. Over pounding drums and gritty guitar lines, the singer pleads sincerely, “Tell me what I need to do.” The voice is thick, almost aching with conviction, turning the track into a heart-on-sleeve rocker that balances vulnerability with power. It makes you stop and listen because it feels like the band is speaking directly to you.
All in all, The Word66’s latest offerings pack a one-two punch. These songs rock hard while aiming to heal hearts. With 37 Miracles on the horizon, the band proves they’re just getting started.
