Addiction Baby by Hilla Peer: Review
On January 6, 2023, a singer and songwriter named Hilla Peer, originally from Israel, released her single โAddiction Baby.โ Since the beginning of her career three years ago, she has successfully secured radio stations and made it to the major playlist on Spotify. She is an up-and-coming artist from Israel who is having no trouble establishing a name for herself in the world of music.
The track starts off with a funky bass sound and shakers, then comes the hypnotizing and smooth vocals of Hilla Peer. Her voice is so captivating that when she plays with the words โI canโt get enoughโ with a magical harmonizing at some segments that catch instantly with the listeners, they are sure to sing along with her at that moment or at least groove to it. The precise hits on the drums along with the face-melting jazzy saxophone solo elevate the song and your mood. The keyboard melodies in between sound like Ray Manzarek of โThe Doorsโ and it was a pleasant surprise. These made the track interestingly calming and comforting to hear.
No wonder Hilla Peer is climbing up the ladder of music so quickly, the way she incorporates the sounds and her vocal control are majestic and magical. Adding the saxophone solo completely changed the vibe and made it into a jazzy-sounding track for a few seconds. This gives the listeners a glimpse of her artistic talent and puts her on our radar of artists to keep an ear out for.
