AFRICAN CONSCIENCES release inspiring new song ‘MENTAL SLAVERY’
Mbegane NDOUR, a veteran of the global music scene, joined the African hip-hop collective Djoloff in 1995 and released his debut album in 2001 after signing with Universal. Through his music, which fuses traditional African music with contemporary hip-hop beats, Djoloff has established a solid reputation on the international stage.
With more than 150 performances worldwide, Mbegane NDOUR has come into contact with a number of noteworthy figures, including Philip Burrell of the Xterminator label, with whom he co-created the concept album African Consciences with the help of Sizzla Kalonji, Anthony B, Dead Prez, La Rumeur, Ty, Daddy Mory, and other musicians.
A blend of hip-hop beats and African rhythms, ‘MENTAL SLAVERY’ has a strong cultural message, conscious inspiration, and a positive vibe.
