All I Really Want by Urban Walrus: Review
A soothing and meditative tune surfaces in “All I Really Want” by Urban Walrus. It’s a laid-back melody that would click with anyone, especially individuals overwhelmed by life’s extremities. Speaking of overwhelming, folks, life can truly get in the way of our inhibitions. In such cases, a guiding voice is needed, along with soft guitar melodies and groovy basslines. This is a department that Urban Walrus specializes in, and definitely why you should confide in their music!
“All I Really Want” is an indie-pop song to the core with subtle psychedelic elements sprinkled on top of it. For starters, I gotta applaud the soothing singer at the mic, their tone and overall approach to the track was stunning to hear. I was completely hypnotized by the flow of it all, especially when the harmonies kicked in. Aside from that, the guitar textures have a bit of phaser involved in them. This is where the facets of psychedelia greet us and cover the atmosphere of the song. Furthermore, the entirety of the song has a pleasant cadence and contributes to the peaceful aura of not rushing into anything but rather letting a given experience flow naturally.
The music of Urban Walrus should definitely resonate with the masses. I believe the artist’s craft on the indie-music scene has a contemporary charm that may rival the giants, especially when it comes to creating unique soundscapes. Their song “All I Really Want” is available for streaming, so head on over folks!
