Karen Salicath Jamali, the award-winning Danish-American pianist and composer, has once again turned her dreams into sound with her new EP Angel Trio, released on October 21, 2025. This three-song collection is a spiritual meditation. Known for composing pieces that come to her in dreams following a near-death experience in 2012, Jamali continues to blur the line between consciousness and the divine. And listeners are responding. Angel Trio debuted at #2 on the Hypeddit Top 100 Classical Charts, showing us that her ethereal sound is resonating far beyond the concert hall.
The title track, โAngel Trio 1,โ opens like dawn breaking with soft, shimmering high notes dancing lightly over a foundation of gentle melody, glimmering with the kind of grace that feels almost too delicate to touch. Itโs as if each note tiptoes in on wings. Then โAngel Trio 2โ has a more fullness in sound due to deeper notes of piano gushing in alongside the main piano flow, with trickles of light, wispy high tones glinting occasionally too. It creates a layered, intimate, and expansive emotional soundscape. Finally, โAngel Trio 3โ slows things down, adopting a more reflective, almost reverent tone. It has rippling waves of sonorous piano rising over the slower, more thoughtful and meditative notes as if the listener has entered the inner sanctum of that temple Jamali so often speaks of, the quiet space between waking and dreaming.
Mastered by audio legend Maria Triana, whose fingerprints have graced records from Aretha Franklin to Britney Spears, Angel Trio glows with warmth and balance. Each track breathes. Paired with Jamaliโs own sculpture on the cover, this EP is a portal into her artistic universe, where dream and discipline dance in perfect harmony.
