As Is release heartwarming new rendition of Christmas Song ‘O Holy Night’

The Christmas song ‘O Holy Night’ has been a mainstay of almost every holiday playlist for years. This traditional Christmas song has been transformed by AS IS, an American duo made up of jazz guitarist Alan Schulman and singer Stacey Schulman, from its semi-sacred and traditional roots into a bouncy samba-inspired arrangement that is sure to get you moving to the music.
The single was produced by former GRAMMY nominee and trustee James McKinney of Infinite Icon Productions and was orchestrated by the group AS IS. Stacey Schulman, a jazz song stylist, contributes subtle scatting to the single, and jazz guitarist Alan Schulman provides tasty guitar fills. Alejandro and Leonardo Lucini, brothers from Brazil who play drums and percussion, provide the rhythm section’s Latin accents.
The song was recorded at Blue House Studios in Silver Spring, Maryland. It was engineered by Grammy-winning sound engineer Jeff Gruber, and it was mixed by Scott Jacoby of Eusonia Studios in New York City. Since the release of their sophomore album ‘Here’s to Life’ (Night Night the Elephant productions) in 2018, the Billboard Charting Duo AS IS has only released the single.
