Birminghamโs own Matreya, formerly known as Mason Noise, steps into a higher frequency with his radiant new single โBe Love,โ released October 17, 2025. After trading fame for introspection, the singer-songwriter has returned with a sound that merges spirit and groove, fusing Afrobeats, soul, and global rhythm. The track, produced alongside Reece Hayden and Iwan VanHetten (of Sister Sledge and Jools Holland fame), marks Matreyaโs most complete artistic statement to date, as it celebrates unity, healing, and showcases the transformative power of love itself. Itโs a movement that sets the stage for his debut EP, Anchor, due in early 2026.
From the first beat, โBe Loveโ radiates life. The percussion rumbles warmly beneath lush layers of live horns, guitar licks, and soft, shimmering synths, crafting an organic and cosmic soundscape, like a festival at sunset or, as Matreya describes it, โa carnival on a spaceship.โ His voice glides over the rhythm, smooth and charismatic, rich with soulful inflection. He sings with a confident tenderness that wraps around you, inviting you not just to listen but to feel. When he croons the mantra-like refrain, โBe love, be love, be love,โ itโs hypnotic, almost spiritual, echoing like a call to awaken the heart.
As the song progresses, the energy builds into a glowing crescendo where brass bursts through and the beat expands into a danceable pulse. You can practically feel the air vibrating with positivity. Beneath the joy, though, lies a deeper message, one about shedding ego, pride, and fear to rediscover the universal truth that connects us all.
With โBe Love,โ Matreya channels rhythm through the revelation of the soulful, timeless, and utterly irresistible. Itโs a reminder that sometimes the most revolutionary thing you can do is simply be love.
