Bigger by Ally Cribb: Song review
We face obstacles in every step of life. Most of the time we settle for what we have and commiserate, but the times we push through we grow a little bit bigger. This is the message Canadian Singer Ally crib intends to send to us through her first single ‘Bigger’.
Ally Cribb is a seventeen years old singer/songwriter from Montreal, Canada. She started singing and playing piano at eight years old and wrote her first song at twelve. She became popular through her cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’. She has now announced her arrival on the scene with her first original ‘Bigger’ which belongs to her EP ‘Unbroken: Ally Cribb’s Coming-Of-Age Story’. Her first single ‘Bigger’ is produced by her father who has nurtured her through her musical journey.
The lyrics to the song are straightforward and with no hidden meaning. The song starts with “I can get bigger”. Here she assures herself how she could overcome everything in her way and grow bigger and also inspires all of us with the same philosophy. The lyrics are intimate and show her determination and growth. Electronic music and a pronounced bass line give the song a rise in the chorus. Ally Cribb has done an amazing job singing the song. Her tremendous singing ability and vocal maturity are distinctly noticeable in ‘Bigger’. The pop influence in her voice with vulnerability and emotion truly makes this song worthwhile.
