The 80s were a fascinating time to be alive, even more so with the music coming out of that era. In this case, synth-pop and synth-wave are the two most notable ones, and is a sound Candy Riot excels at. The band’s song “Blood On The Moon” is a funky tune composed of colorful synths and beats mixed together in effect. Furthermore, the singers are pretty resonant and ensure a pleasant balance within the track.

Candy Riot’s “Blood On The Moon” has a delightful combination of rhythm and flow. This is brought on by the synthesizer pieces, especially the solo sections in the song. Aside from that, the thumping bass notes provide a jolt in the melody which will entice you to dance. Speaking of dance, it’s tough not to get your groove on while hearing “Blood On The Moon.” It pertains to the idea of a midnight rave taking place downtown, and it’s all the cool kids could talk about. The party is amplified alongside the vocal portions, which are uplifting and blend excellently with the vibrant synth chords.

Holly Holt, Ericas Porter, Bobby Cheatham, Ricky Rodriguez, and Philip Moody are the melodic bunch that makes up Candy Riot.
