Blxst has released a new video for “Never Was Wrong.” The song is from Blxst’s latest album, Before You Go.

Blxst released his latest album, Before You Go, last month, which features 13 tracks and collaborations with Arin Ray, Grandmaster Vic, Rick Ross, and Zacari. The California star blessed the fans today (May 12) with a new picture from Before You Go for “Never Was Wrong,” a self-produced effort in which he admits to his relationship flaws:
“You said you fed up, I see, sit down, just level with me, I must do better, show you good love like you never received, time and time you tried to leave, but you just can’t leave it alone, you thinking ’bout the good vibes we was up on, and we get right back like I never was wrong, woah, and you know we go way back, timeless bonds we built, we can’t erase that, I know I been in the field but I come straight back…”
Blxst is shown in the midst of a pretty fly function (complete with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Buddy appearance) where he’s continually negligent of his girl in attendance in the accompanying footage for the smooth attempt. He appears to realize his mistake at some point, taking the mic to deliver his lines to his love interest. It’s too late; he returns home to see his girl packing her belongings and departing with her buddies.
Before You Go is the follow-up to Blxst’s breakthrough EP No Love Lost, which was released in 2020 and had eight emotive tracks for listeners to enjoy. He’d release a deluxe edition of No Love Lost a few months later, with contributions from Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, and Bino Rideaux. Blxst then joined the XXL Freshman class of 2021, which included 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, and others.
