Cat Calabrese release a new single ‘Mine (A Cappella)’ featuring Romanic
Cat Calabrese is a pop vocalist and songwriter from Cleveland. She weaves distinctive and catchy pop melodies into her lyrics with brave vulnerability. Cat started her own career to cope with and heal from tragedy. After losing all control, she turned to music to reclaim her strength and begin fighting back. In doing so, she is developing a pop sound that reflects a lady eager to tell her own tale in her own words.
Cat debuted in March 2021 with her debut single, Quicksand, which was co-produced by a collaborator of Machine Gun Kelly. Cat linked up with Cleveland producer and songwriter DJ London Bridges to continue the momentum of the track, and she has been continuously releasing new tracks since her debut. She has appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and has been featured in major publications such as Rolling Stone, This Is 50, and The Hype Magazine. Cat describes herself as “speaking her truth one song at a time.”
Cat’s music will have you humming her truths and hungry to hear more, whether she’s shouting a powerful break-up anthem or showcasing her gentler, more sensitive side.
Cat and long-time collaborator/producer Romanic are releasing an a cappella version of “Mine,” which was released on January 14th. For this particular version, Romanic produces sophisticated sounding instrumentation made purely with his voice, inspired by Björk’s a cappella album, Medlla. His arrangement and production both enhance the track’s passion and subject matter, and its distinctiveness allows it to stand alone from the original. Romanic’s vocal layers and tones, reminiscent of Pentatonix, mix well with Cat’s rich melody and belted high notes. The song will be Cat’s tenth single since her March 2021 debut and will be an extra special treat for her fans.
Cat is still working on new songs, which she plans to release throughout the rest of 2022 and beyond. In the near future, you will also hear from her about many features/collaborations.
