Chris Productions is pleased to announce the release of ChrisWoo’s second debut EP ‘Love Stories’.
On July 2nd, 2021, this album was released across all platforms (including YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and others).
The work that went into making this music is astounding in and of itself. The instrumental was produced by ChrisWoo himself. He worked for 9 hours straight in the studio to create this masterpiece. He took a week off after finishing the instrumental to get into the correct frame of mind for writing the words for this single. ChrisWoo didn’t have anyone in mind while he was writing the lyrics. By dedicating another song to one of his exes, he didn’t want to make any of them feel special. He simply wanted to release a song with a wonderful vibe that he could truly name his masterpiece. The hook for the song occurred to him as he was watching “Fairly Oddparents” and “Raven” with his younger sister. After that, it was all history. He returned later to finish the tune, after which his engineer Yann Simhon began mixing and mastering the song. That is the backstory to the production of this lovely and delightful song.
Let’s go on to the main course now. This EP features eight tracks, six of which are full-fledged songs. The first and eighth tracks are skits that serve to introduce the artist to the major songs, while the last track was included on the EP to bring the EP to a close. Inside this EP, there is a song named “Throne for a Queen,” which is listed as the third track but is actually the second real tune. This song is a personal favorite of the artist.
Here’s a little background on the artist “ChrisWoo.” Franz Christopher Laplante is the artist’s real name, however he is most commonly known as Christopher Laplante. He is a young Canadian male who lives in Montreal. Christopher has never had much luck when it comes to matters of the heart; he’s been betrayed a lot by friends and prior loves, but instead of being negative about it, he decided to use his passion for music to channel those negative emotions into something beautiful. His life had been filled with music since he was a small child. His mother used to sing at church and would occasionally invite him to join her.
He grew up listening to vintage R&B music, which subsequently inspired him to pursue a career as an R&B musician. Travis Scott is his favorite musician. He has family members who are already in the music industry, which has further fueled his desire to establish his own career and leave his mark on the world. He used to have a lot of notes on his phones with a lot of lyrics, but he never intended to release any music until one day in March 2020, while he was trapped at home doing nothing, something simply hit him, and he decided to give music a serious effort.
On March 31, 2020, he released his debut single “Friday Success.” That single was more in the Hip-Hop style, and the response was mainly good, which only fueled his desire to release a full project, which he accomplished later. He released his first EP, “Ups and Downs,” in October 2020. That EP had four songs, two of which were R&B and the other two were Hip-Hop. The feedback he received revealed that many didn’t realize he could sing effectively at first, and that they liked his R&B style over his hip-hop approach.
He then took their feedback to release “This Christmas Feels Right” as a Christmas single in December 2020. He began production on his second EP, “Love Stories,” two months later, knowing that it would be released in July 2021. And now we’ve arrived.
“This is definitely my best project yet and honestly I can’t wait for people to hear it. I know that they will love it”
ChrisWoo
