Alabama based musical artist Ty Rell released his newest album, “Create Through My Pain,” in collaboration with Swiss producer Kaiwabi on March 8th, 2024. The duo created a twelve track long hip-hop album that explores themes of Ty Rell’s self expression and own inner feelings.
“Create Through My Pain” is the opening title track of this album. Raw vocals are layered with dark soundscapes resulting in a powerful track that is a reflection of Ty Rell’s reason to create. Ty Rell does not just create music just for the sake of creating it, he does it as a form of self-expression because “creating is what keeps him from turning monster.” This multi-talented artist creates his own “lane” when it comes to creating music.
“A Real Representation” and “No Bad Business” give us a view of the rapper’s life, where he had to overcome obstacles while fighting his inner demons through his free-flowing poetic verses.
“Don’t Be A Buzz Kill” opens with an eccentric beat followed by Ty Rell’s vocals, which are heavily autotuned, but that just adds to the musical style of this track. ‘Soul Crying Out (A Spoken Word Freestyle)” wraps this album up with a track that tells the story of a man trying to heal and break the chains of trauma while trying to grow. “Can you heal his soul crying out?” is repeated through the end of this track in a raspy voice layered with a trumpet-like sound, adding to the vulnerability of this track.
Overall, “Create Through My Pain” is an album that gives us a vulnerable glimpse of Ty Rell’s life, both the good and the bad, and his tracks that he created through the creativity of his pain.
