Croptal released catchy new song ‘Blacksmith’
Traditional English folk song ‘Blacksmith’ has been performed numerous times over the years. The most notable ones are performed by Maddy Prior, a well-known folk musician. A live a-cappella version of this song that she recorded and released in 2000. This performance caught Croptal’s attention and ended up on the album as a contemporary interpretation with Prior’s exceptional vocal track. His sister Hila Yaniv played the lead role in the music video that Croptal created for this song in order to complete the listening experience.
Introducing Croptal, the stage name of Israeli producer and musician Tal Yaniv. Croptal takes the listener on a mystical musical journey between the musical genres of neo-classical, electronic, British folk, and dance music in his second album, ‘Variations’. This concept album is the artist’s take on the Variations style of classical music. It starts with a brief piano theme, then has eight variations that build on each other to create a dramatic Finale. Synthesizers, manipulated rhythms, tape loops, and live piano and string orchestra recordings are all used in Croptal. The album is intended for sophisticated listeners, primarily minimalist music lovers.
