Dancing with a Broken Heart by Randi: Review

Randi spent her childhood in Boise, Idaho. After relocating to Los Angeles, she continued her musical study at USC’s Thornton School of Music. She took music classes focusing on jazz, choir, and vocal arranging. The prospect of devoting time and energy to learning about her actual passion, singing and performing, warmed her soul and senses. Randi’s track “Dancing with a Broken Heart” has an indie soundtrack full of daydreams and heartfelt emotions. As I peer into Randi’s musical atmosphere, my ears are blessed with the sweet sound of her voice and an instrumental section that is full of color and finesse.
“Dancing with a Broken Heart” is mixed with indie-pop and a bit of folk rock too. Randi’s soothing and serene voice blends beautifully with the slightly distorted guitars that accompany her. The track feels like a perfect setting for you to get lost in as you stare out a car window and watch the clouds float on by. It gives you the feeling of melancholy with the somber vocal melodies and guitar chords. But at the same time empowers you with a strong and cinematic bassline that acts as a nice touch through each sequence.
Everything about Randi’s track “Dancing with a Broken Heart” feels like a tragic ode that comes to life through a musical passage. It is amazing how she pours her heart into the lyrical compositions and the musical sections. Randi’s voice has a very peaceful aura to it, and that sensational pop aesthetic that I wish to hear more indeed.
