Destello Inmortal (Radio Edit) [Remastered] by Horizonte Lied: Review
The music of Horizonte Lied has a splendid chemistry between 1980s synthwave and psychedelic pop. Their song “Destello Inmortal” establishes a sonic link paying homage to the aforementioned era. The nostalgia arrives through a new wave-styled bass piece, electronica bits, and gripping vocal segments. Speaking of new wave, it was also a popular genre back in the 80s alongside synthwave. It brought back fond memories of my youth, and Horizonte Lied couldn’t have begun on a better note in that regard.
The ethos of the 1980s focused on the digital future. The culture was quite fascinating, especially the music of that period. The sound was fresh, and people started to jam out with it more often. That essence is still alive today, and artists such as Horizonte Lied convey that melodic emotion delightfully. In their track “Destello Inmortal” an echoed instrumental bit initiates and forms the platform for a heavy bass to enter. Side by side, pulsating beats take shape and create a catchy tempo. Hearing all these elements at play, especially with the addition of the vocals and synths brought on strong feelings of psychedelic pop. This is primarily because of the easy-listening attribute of the track, its captivating flow, and the mysterious aura of the melody’s psychedelic approach.
“Destello Inmortal” has a trippy tone, leading to an intriguing cadence. So, I’d recommend this to any 80s fanboy, especially those that yearn for a musical depiction of that time.
