Lord Sonny the Unifier unleashes the spirit of punk rock and energetic hymns in their track “Don’t Be An A**hole.” Carrying the track are fierce vocal segments and gritty guitar sequences that are as bold as the track’s title. So, with that being said the artist truly showcases a coherent melodic performance.
The formula of punk rock in “Don’t Be An A**hole” pertains to the movement of funkified rhythms. Particularly, the fat bass lines contribute to the track’s catchy essence. It’s tough not to get hooked on the vibing characteristics of the guitar solos and fillers. In addition to that, the vocal chops of the singer steer from the causal tropes of punk rock and into the bliss of slow rock in certain transitions. But most importantly, there’s a solid balance in singing, and it keeps the energy constant. Aside from the guitar and bass, the piano pieces also bring forth a weight of their own.
Gregory Jiritano leads the musical diversity of Lord Sonny the Unifier. In “Don’t Be An A**hole” the wild representation of punk is vivid with the singer’s stand. However, with more instruments and fillers entering the mix, the fusion of more genres can be felt. Particularly, the spirit of funk as mentioned before seems to keep the track even dance-worthy. Also, there’s some hint of psychedelia intertwined with the artist’s work, which is also a flavorful way to hear any song nowadays.
