Syd Caldera puts listeners in awe with “Double Life”. According to the artist, The dual existence of many of us served as inspiration for this track.
With a drum roll, we’re off to an interesting start to the song. It then transitions into an emotional arrangement on the synth; it has the feel of a genuine dive bar movie opener, and then the bass rolls in to provide additional flavor. The vocal range and expertise of the singer will immediately enthrall you and capture your attention. The drum transitions are a little bit quirky, and they integrate a few strange time signatures; nevertheless, the music feels original and contemporary. Amazingly funky notes are being played by the bass throughout the entire track, which adds a splash and a dash of excitement. Syd’s voice has a particularly intimate quality to it, and as a result, it is clear that the artist intended each and every word that was spoken and was not joking about it in any way.
Lyrical topics that provoke contemplation also make it possible for listeners to be attracted to the concepts that the artist is exploring. The rhythm section was really what made an impression on me. It is difficult to add an appealing rhythm in modern music since it is expected that the listener will constantly remain in tune. It’s true that solos and interludes are equally essential to a track, but a solid rhythm can carry it from beginning to end, and “Double Life” did a great job of capturing that.
