Eluveitie release a new single ‘Aidus’
ELUVEITIE has released a new song called “Aidus,” which includes a music video. The folk metallers’ most recent album, “Ategnatos,” was published in 2019. There has been no additional word regarding a possible ninth studio album. The Swiss respond on what is, by their standards, a difficult figure with “A new era has begun.”
“It’s probably one of the strongest tracks Eluveitie has released,” says band founder Chrigel Glanzmann. We are no longer a “Celtic metal band”… a band that sings about Celtic history… as a natural result of our spiritual journey that began with “Ategnatos.” We’re Celts who love heavy metal and play it with all our hearts. We are no longer classified as a “pagan metal band.” We are pagans that play heavy metal with all our hearts, breaking down the foundations of our modern society with a message from the past that pierces them like a scalpel. It’s the best way I’ve come up with to explain this new single. “Defend yourself!”
ELUVEITIE is on tour with Finnish metal veterans AMORPHIS.
