Embodiment by Claire Bigley: Review
Every one of Claire Bigleyโs songs has her playing the piano and other keyboard instruments. Additionally, she has a background in classical music. The track โEmbodimentโ was developed with the purpose of reawakening the physical form. She desired to do three things for the listener: ground them, relax them, and engage them. In addition to that, she desired to establish balance and intimacy.
As we come onto the scene where Claire graciously shows her emotion on the piano, there is a sense of passion at play. As you listen to the piece, immediately youโll find peace on the horizon. Every portion of her arrangement breathes a sense of melancholy and rhythm. She plays individual notes and incorporates chords as well. But overall, itโs a solid piece that is completely piano-based. There isnโt percussion or bass involved, it feels like e meditative peace which will guide your ears on a journey. In โEmbodimentโ the subtle press of each piano key feels personal, and when the artist goes on a flow she believes in each note. There is some spacing between notes and has a harmonic effect where a listener can truly appreciate the arrangement being played.
Claireโs technique on the piano is minimal, and for some reason, I got a cinematic vibe out of it. If possible you could portray an emotional scene out of a film, and if โEmbodimentโ played as the OST, it would sound utterly magical.
