I-25 by Andrew Akins: Review
The pleasant and gentle melody “I-25” is about a man’s longing to freeze a period of time and preserve it for all forever. Andrew Akins is primarily responsible for the production of the music as well as playing the majority of the guitar-based elements. Colton Thomas is in charge of the drumming, while Gracie Tidmore is the one who provides the backing vocals.
Sometimes it isn’t the elements or tangible aspects that make life what it is, but the resonance found in the journey we undertake and the memories we collect. With each listen “I-25” by Andrew Akins feels like the perfect Indie and Country track to just go lone-ranging out on the road and thinking for a while. The song encompasses beautiful guitar strumming and solos, vibrant voices, and a wholesome atmosphere altogether. Being on the road again will feel like a joy, as Andrew and his merry band will keep you company with their vibing tunes. Overall the guitar portions incorporate a genre of blues and country. What I enjoyed were the guitar fillers, and the subtle aspects of the drum making the track sound, well in one word “fun”!
The music video is also quite enjoyable as there are spectacular nature views that we can all take pride in. Mother Earth and music sure go hand in hand. There is a slow intermission right after the guitar solo, where it’s just Andrew singing and the guitar playing, at that very moment you’ll truly grasp the strength of the track because it is quite polished and full of color and rhythm.
