Eremos released entrancing new single ‘Ghost on the River’
A brand-new song titled ‘Ghost on the River’ has been made available by the college rock group Eremos from Athens, Georgia. The song demonstrates the band’s wide range of influences by fusing indie folk, country, blues, and southern rock genres. The crisp electric guitar and the vocalist’s soulful tone work well together to create a smooth, easy-listening flow that keeps listeners coming back for more.
The song was written by the lead singer, Dylan DiNello, in February 2021, not long after his grandmother passed away from pancreatic cancer. In order to deal with his grief and remember the good times they had together, he wrote the song. The lyrics make reference to particular instances and memories of his family’s cancer battle. “Ghost” alludes to lost loved ones, while “river” recalls trips he took as a child to his grandmother’s house in the mountains. Despite the fact that the song is personal to the singer, he wants listeners to be able to infer their own meaning from it.
