Ivy League is going to throw you off course with their new EP, โEverything I Ever Wanted,โ that dropped recently this 2nd June.
Consisting of 4 rockable tracks, it starts with the title track, a slow and peacefully starting track that gets you waiting with a puzzled sensation for the real power to be finally exerted, but when it does, brace your ears! The indie emo alternative rock band is going to get you jamming to a driving rock-n-rollercoaster.
Moving on to the next track, โThe Weight,โ has an incredibly satisfying eargasmic beginning with the guitar rhythm slithering too well until the powerful vocals holler into the rhythm, piercing it with smashing cymbals. Then the vocals sing aloud but fade into a hazy vibe behind the explosive wall of sound.
ย โWe are Infiniteโ starts with a monologue that runs more than a minute until the voice concludes, โI swearโWe are infinite.โ And thatโs when the music starts with a propelling but catchy guitar rhythm and anthemic, reverberating vocals.
ย Then we have our last track, โSt. Tom, 1941,โ starting slow to help us really get into the mood and savor the taste of the finale, till the electric guitar really starts riffing hard with drums giving it a good going with a fine balance. The vocals holler up with an aching and emotionally tender timbre and tone which takes good and deep listening to really get to the bottom of it.
The EP, โEverything I Ever Wanted,โ is in good taste for indie and rock fans. And we are excited for what the Ivy League has in store for us. Keep tabs on them for more emotive rock music.
