1. Your roots can often shape your journey. Can you share a story or moment from your early life that had a significant impact on your path into music?
Gideon unna: my best friend asaf started playing electric guitar when we were 13, he played in the Kibbutz music room, and I came to listen to him,and I was amazed, asaf told me come play with me, and I took the fender bass that was there, and this was our first band,unfortunately asaf passed away when he was 18. And he is one of my biggest influences.
2. Did your musical journey begin with formal training, or was it more of a personal exploration? How has that shaped your unique approach to your craft?
Gideon unna: when I was a child about 4-5 I couldn’t fell a sleep with out listening to the beatles , John,Paul,George and Ringo where my first music teacher’s. much later I started learning music properly.
3. Who were some of the most influential figures in your early musical life, and how did they inspire your sound? Also, what’s the story behind choosing the name ‘Gideon unna’?
Gideon unna: as I said the beatles were my first influence, but olso ,cat stevens , the band, and Israeli music. Gideon unna is my name. Gideon is from the bible he was a leader and the people wanted to make him a king and he refused. Unna is a town in Germany were my family roots are.
4. What do you believe sets your music apart? How would you describe your sound to someone discovering you for the first time, and what emotions or experiences do you hope to evoke in your listeners?
Gideon unna: it’s basically folk music. I hope the listener’s will feel the love that I have in my hart

5. For most artists, originality is first preceded by a phase of learning and, often, emulating others. What was this like for you? How would you describe your own development as an artist and music maker, and the transition towards your own style, which is known as POP?
Gideon unna:I study music since I was a teenager. And I wish I will study music all my life, it’s a very high method of wisdom, I grow with my music and creativity as I grow as a human being. Its goes together in my opinion.
6. Music often transcends entertainment. What’s your view on the role and function of music as political, cultural, spiritual, and/or social vehicles – and do you try and affront any of these themes in your work, or are you purely interested in music as an expression of technical artistry, personal narrative, and entertainment?
Gideon unna: Hendrix once said that every change for good that will come for the world will be involved with music. I take it as it is and want to use my music to bring harmony and inspiration to the world.
7. Do you feel the rewards of your musical career match the energy and passion you invest in it, or are there different kinds of fulfillment you’re still seeking?
Gideon unna: I do music cause its in my soul and my spirit. I don’t necessarily looking for likes or rewards but when you get them it’s give you kind of a promision you do the right thing
8. Can you walk us through your creative process? From the first spark of an idea to the finished track, what’s the most essential part of your process, and how do collaboration or external influences shape your work?
Gideon unna: I just play and the music comes out, the song’s are making their special way through me to get to the world, some how more or less like a child.
9. What’s been the most challenging hurdle in either your personal life or music career, and how has it shaped you as an artist?
Gideon unna: Now when I making a B.A in music at Haifa University it’s very hard studys
10. On the flip side, what moment or achievement in your career so far has made you feel the proudest, and why? And let’s talk about your latest release and future plans.
Gideon unna: My biggest achievement is that i keep enjoying so much from music and it inspires me so much. Hopefully forever.
11. With social media having a heavy impact on our lives and the music business in general, how do you handle criticism, haters, and/or naysayers in general? Is it something you pay attention to, or simply ignore?
Gideon unna: Don’t pay attention to it so much.
12. Creative work in a studio or home environment, or interaction with a live audience? Which of these two options excites you most, and why?
Gideon unna: Both
13. Do you think is it important for fans of your music to understand the real story and message driving each of your songs, or do you think everyone should be free to interpret your songs in their own personal way?
Gideon unna: It’s coming together but it can stand alone.
