Fade Away by Centershift: Review
“Fade Away” is a superb alternative rock song by Centershift. The sound pays homage to classic tracks of the genre dating back to the 2000s era. The music brings a powerful essence of nostalgia, as being a teenager at that time shaped me into the man I am today.
Centershift truly knows how to form a solid melody. This is evident in “Fade Away,” a song that thrilled me to the very core. It consists of a soft intro with heavy basslines and minimal guitars. Eventually, the tempo rises and a powerful crescendo arises from guitar riffs. The instrument’s grip drew me in and mesmerized my senses. Aside from that, there’s an emotional drive to the track that I can grasp from the vocalist’s expression. Call it a musician’s intuition, but it’s an innate ability any artist can comprehend when another sings their heart out. Thus, with the instruments joining in on that cadence, Centershift assembled the rhythms for a stellar tone. Each segment feels intentional, like it was meant to be there. A song is shaped based on its melodic polish, and without a doubt, this epic alt-rock band did a fine job in that regard.
The transitions in “Fade Away” by Centershift were pretty intriguing. I enjoy how this act maintained a strong flow of upbeat rock with a mellow alternative tone. It created a lovely unison of sound that I’d hear on repeat for days on end.
