Pisgahโs second LP, Faultlines, released December 4, 2025, reckons thatโs been a long time coming. Based in Greater London but rooted in the American South, Brittney Jenkins finally brings sound, story, and vision into sharp alignment on a record that feels less like a follow-up and more like a true arrival. Written and recorded in her home studio and mixed and mastered by Dan Duszynski, Faultlines traces the emotional earthquakes that split a life open, not to wallow in the wreckage, but to understand what can be rebuilt once the dust settles. Inspired by everything from Americana storytelling and alt-rock bite to shadowy, atmospheric textures, the album lives in that uneasy space between collapse and clarity.
The opening track, โCumulonimbus,โ features thumping beats that roll in beneath immersive layers of sound, with sparkling percussion flickering at the edges, and deep pulses anchoring everything in place. Jenkinsโ gentle, thick voice enters with calm authority, singing sonorously with emotion. Thereโs tenderness in the way she shares her closed oneโs face, while admitting she no longer recognizes it, as if sheโs grown too far apart from her roots to go back again.
Later on, โ5ft2โ pulls things inward. Warm, melodic guitar lines carry the song while Jenkins sings with a soft, fragile delivery that feels both melancholic and desolate. Itโs stripped back and intimate.
By the time โOut of the Gateโ arrives, the record finds motion again. Hard beats hit steadily, cymbals splash with intent, and Jenkinsโ voice turns introspective and reflective as she sings about finally letting go of an ex and running forward instead of circling back. Thereโs resolve here, not triumph exactly, but momentum. With thousands already connecting to the track, it feels like a quiet anthem for release.
Overall, Faultlines understands that breaking is sometimes necessary, and Pisgah captures that truth with restraint, atmosphere, and hard-won honesty.
