The Pacific Northwest is where Madison Slicker grew up. AMAVA is Madison’s current solo alias and she has her roots in San Francisco. Amava’s sound is a mix of genres that works well for both cleansing your soul and getting your groove on. AMAVA’s “Feel Things” is a truly melodic Poptastic track fused with elements of EDM that add a colorful aura to it.
The instrumentation of the track is otherworldly. The synthesizer used in the song is eargasmic and has distinct layers on top of which AMAVA’s voice is uniquely programmed and mastered. The beat sequences are very catchy and resonate perfectly with Madison’s voice. And the lyrics! God damn! She starts off with such a creative and interesting flow of words, that were simply mind-blowing. Her transitions and movement throughout the song are a vibe. The electronic aspects of the track incorporate a bass line and build-up system that is reminiscent of house music. Hence, it’s a great song to go clubbing with a special someone or the squad on a Saturday night.
The latter half of the song has a very energetic beat structure, and as the melody continues it builds up to a slower tempo. This overall arrangement is quite interesting to hear and has a nice tone to it. The elements of pop and dance are truly magnificent in the song, and I bet “Feel Things” will be stuck in your head for many days to come.
