Recently publishing his first EP, titled “Find A Way,” the American musician Aaron Zafran, or popularly known as Xafran, gives us a taste of magnificence in his exquisite showcase of electronic mix. Listeners can expect 4 tracks in this EP, each featuring something divergent within its genre. Aaron channels his passion of synth music and taps into our nostalgia, by bringing modern pop into life with his equally contemporary vibes and experimental vocals while leaning more to a synth-heavy soundscape.
The album initiates with the incredible title track, which seems to be the main feature among all the electronic-tingled tracks. Aaron creates an otherworldly and cinematic ambience by fusing a plethora of synths to create a futuristic vibe. The nostalgic effect becomes even more enunciated with the 80s enriched buzzing tones, and a synthesized choir backdrop that sets the tone for the song, building a suspense of what’s to come. In the middle of the eerie synth bleeps, you can hear the stunning vocals with an electronic flavor, rising with the repeated phrase “to the other side,” inviting you to the untapped futuristic lands. There’s something about the track’s melody that you can’t quit put a pin on. Aaron keeps it progressive, ushering in an overwhelming sensation, while still keeping it soothingly melodic. Each layer is intricately and deftly produced that might just put you to a heavy trance. Check out the other three numbers in this EP to immerse yourself into the artistry of Xafran.
