Future Teases New Album With Kanye West’s ‘Keep It Burnin’ Video. I Never Liked You is a 16-track album that contains Gunna, Young Thug, Drake, and Kodak Black.
I Never Liked You, Future’s eighth studio album, has arrived, and with it comes a video for his latest collaboration with Kanye West, “Keep It Burnin.”
The two appear in a darkly lighted environment in the new Rick Nyce-directed video, which is shot in a circular frame. Throughout the song, the two rappers trade rhymes, reflecting on their own journeys. West sings, “Cross me so often, I got nails in my palm.” “The city is on fire.”
“I’ve seen too much bloodshed, and I’ve done too much death,” says the narrator. Future raps afterwards. “Bodies on bodies/Raised by gangsters, prostitutes, and pimps/Raised by gangsters, prostitutes, and pimps.”
Future’s 16-song Never Liked You, the follow-up to 2020’s High Off Life, has collaborations with Gunna, Young Thug, Drake, and Kodak Black, among others.
Future and record collaborator Gunna performed “Pushin P” from Gunna’s third studio album DS4Ever on Saturday Night Live earlier this month. In March, he performed a medley on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that includes “Petty Too” and “Ahh Ha” from Lil Durk’s 7220.
