Gold by Chapell: Review

Chapell channels his inner rocker’s soul in ‘Gold’. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and a passionate melody for the ages. The track has a classic rock feel, with what feels like personal lyrics resonating with the vocalist. I truly appreciate the arrangement of the song’s guitar structure the most. For some reason, the tone and playing style kinda reminded me of Carlos Santana. The bending and phrasing style of Chapell’s guitar works was really crisp and soothing to my ears.

The singer’s voice is wonderful, and it was an absolute delight to hear. He’s very melodic and manages to make ‘Gold’ sound extremely catchy. What I noticed and value as well, is that the guitar chord structures aren’t basic and it’s quite stylish! The chords and fillers being played indicate an experienced player, there’s a true genius in those hands I tell you! The main hook of the song is clean and I can totally see entire stadiums happily chanting to this number!

Chapell is a New York band led by the intriguing frontman Alan Chapell. He delivers real and emotional experiences throughout their extensive library of genre-agnostic pop music. These tales are accentuated by rock intensity, new wave soul, a dose of melancholy from americana driven tunes, and even add a bit of Latin spice. The last genre must be where the guitarist got his influence from! Overall, it’s an absolute jam and I’m sure that anyone who listens to this number will enjoy it. Also, insane guitar solos bruv!
