Golden Hour by Anita Eccleston: Review
Raised in Kamloops, Anita Eccleston, a trumpet player, and vocalist composes music with a strong jazz influence. She was brought up in a musical household that supported her passion for trumpet and vocal jazz. She went to McGill University in Montreal to pursue her goal. Many Canadian radio stations have played Anitaโs albums! is a splendid track by Anita Eccleston that incorporates the element of modern jazz with a lofi/electronica vibe to it. Carrying her trusty trumpet with her, the artist truly showcases a glossy performance with a touch of noir.
The track is embellished with piano sequences that have a very melancholic vibe to it. It feels lonely, but it has to be played and the arrangement is quite beautiful but in a sorrowful kind of way. Then, immediately, the scene alters itself with the addition of basslines and a beat, suddenly it isnโt so sad anymore but rather upbeat and colorful! And who could forget the trumpet pieces? It has this flow to the entire song that puts jazz at the forefront for a delicate and delightful presence.
โGolden Hourโ adds a taste of jazz that is unique and experimental in nature. The genre itself is such a timeless art. So, combining the correct fusion and youโve got something soothing and pleasing to the ears. Such is the cadence of Golden Hour by Anita Eccleston! Donโt believe me? Please give the track a listen and find out!
