Hero Dog Releases Relaxing LoFi album “mt.hood”

Hero Dog is led by the production qualities of Aaron Mercado, who is also the mind behind each composition. This melodic act focuses mostly on the LoFi and ambient genre, but they also dabble with electronica. Their album, which was published on January 20th and is titled “mt.hood,” features a variety of different beats and rhythms. Since 2015, Aaron has been creating music to a notable degree. It dates back to high school, when the artist had a friend who encouraged them to give it a shot, and the rest is history ladies and gents.
This project was produced on just a laptop, in combination with a tiny midi keyboard at Aaron’s house. The artist claims that they were influenced to create this record with many different aspects of nature in mind. The trees, environment, and other elements served as inspiration for the record “mt.hood.” Hero Dog believes that the process of developing this vast album took place over the course of time. A hopeful period spent recovering and growing, both as an individual and an artist. Well folks, music does have that kind of effect on people if you ask me.
From the relaxing ambiance of the opening number “guts” to the groovy electronica segments of “ok, nice,” Hero Dog’s music is a stunning experience to have. It’s best experienced with headphones on because the musician’s use of heavy synths and surrounding beats has the ability to absorb your senses, and in a delightful manner too.
