Holy Heights released a new single ‘She Sees Me’
‘She Sees Me,’ the new song from folk singer-songwriter Holy Heights, is making a big splash. ‘She Sees Me’ was released on July 1, 2022, as the first single in a series of releases.
It has been a long time since Holy Heights has begun putting together song fragments. What began as a pastime soon became a passion, kindling a fire within him to use music to communicate a tale. The first chapter, titled “She Sees Me,” is sweet and lullaby-like. The track’s soundtrack evokes feelings of longing and hope. When asked by Holy Heights what the song is about, the band explains that it’s about love that hasn’t yet come to fruition. His voice floats in and out, dreamlike and personal, over a melodic refrain of, ‘I want to know if she sees me as I see her.'” It’s a romanticized vision of what it’s like to be human and fascinated by someone that comes across as genuine and honest. Despite the gloom, the words are beautiful and the instrumentation is delicate.
‘She Sees Me,’ an indie-folk song influenced by artists such as Paul Simon, Sun Kil Moon, and Gillian Welch, is a heartfelt expression of the human condition. To him, the stories we hear and even the simple act of breathing inspire creativity. It is this route of imagination that he aims to take his listeners on with his music.
