Kingdom All Stars recounts the specialities of the “Home” where we were raised and also the songwriter Jazmine Bogie’s association with the beauties of Vermont in their latest folk/pop gem.
With guest artists like legendary guitarist Andre Maquera and UVM drum professor Caleb Bronz, the song is brought to life with an enchanting musicality that’s impossible to resist.
From the moment the song begins, you’re transported to a place of warmth and nostalgia. The gentle strumming of guitars and soft piano keys create a soothing backdrop, while the drums add a subtle energy that rustles with percussion. The organs wailing feels like taking a leisurely stroll through the Vermont countryside on a crisp autumn day.
As Jazmine’s husky voice fills the air, you can’t help but be drawn into her world. She begins the song with the lines, “Take a step, Take a deep, deep breath, This is forever and it starts now/The future is mine and its all mine” reflecting her desire to move forward. But then in the verses, she paints a picture of the cherishable memories that hold her back, be it the Christmas trees, the kitchen fires, the hikes with her brother or the music.
In the chorus, “Home is where it all began/Home is where I had a friend,” Jazmine captures the essence of what home means to her. It’s a place of comfort, of belonging, of love.
Released on March 20, and written by lead vocalist Jazmine Bogie, “Home” captures the bittersweet feeling of leaving home for college while still holding onto the memories and magic of Vermont. Listen to the nostalgically beautiful ode to “Home” and let Kingdom All Stars take you back memory lane.
