Leafgardenโs โHouse of the Blue Lightโ arrives as a confident new chapter from the Gothenburg, Sweden rock outfit, released on April 18, 2026. Since forming in 2015, the band has travelled a long road from cover-band beginnings to a sharper, self-defined classic rock act with its boots firmly planted in tradition and its eyes fixed forward. After their live debut at Restaurant Potatisen with Peterified, Leafgarden clearly caught a spark, and this single sounds like them throwing more wood on the fire.
The title nods to Deep Purpleโs House of the Blue Light, though Leafgarden borrows the spirit of muscular, no-nonsense rock and runs it through their own rehearsal-room chemistry. Written by the band and produced with Chris Highlander, formerly of Saturday Night Strike and Angry by Nature, the track also marks their first time working with an external producer and mixer. And, well, that gamble pays off. Recorded in their own rehearsal studio, the song keeps an organic pulse while sounding tighter, bigger, and more focused than before.
Right out of the gate, โHouse of the Blue Lightโ moves with bustling drums that push the track forward like a runaway engine. The cymbals splash with bright, live-wire energy, while the melodic, thick guitars give the song plenty of meat on the bones.
Then the vocals come soaring in with reckless abandon, thick and fired-up, carrying that classic rock swagger. The backing vocals rise alongside them, adding extra lift and crowd-ready muscle. So, yeah, โHouse of the Blue Lightโ feels like Leafgarden stepping out of the garage and onto a wider stage. It is raw, bold, and built for volume.
