SIR-VERE and Vodzilla push further into their futuristic electronic universe with “New Age Girl,” a brooding collision of Alt-Pop, Electro and Electronic Rock that feels as though it has escaped from a neon-lit cyberpunk city. Released on August 31, 2026, the single is the latest chapter in a collaboration that has gradually grown beyond its original remix roots, setting the stage for the forthcoming album THE GOD MACHINE. Inspired by Japanese manga, anime and cyberpunk imagery, the track embraces a distinctly cinematic world where digital futurism meets human exhaustion.
The production wastes little time establishing its weight. Hard-hitting, pulsating beats hammer underneath a deep bassline that seems to rev somewhere at the bottom of the mix, creating a relentless mechanical pulse.
The husky female vocalist enters with an engaging but moody presence, carrying an air of defeated desolation that makes the performance feel emotionally drained rather than triumphant. Against such muscular production, that weariness becomes especially striking—as if the voice is trying to find humanity inside a machine that refuses to slow down. It adds another spectral layer to the cinematic atmosphere, reinforcing the sensation of wandering through some futuristic dream where everything glows but nothing feels entirely alive.
That tension gives “New Age Girl” much of its character. The infectious melodic instincts keep the track accessible, while the big-beat rhythms and electronic-rock textures give it considerably more bite than straightforward Alt-Pop.
The single follows SIR-VERE and Vodzilla’s earlier collaborations “ADORE” and “Confused (LIPS),” while their eighteen-month creative process has now culminated in THE GOD MACHINE. With SIR-VERE’s songs and lyrics brought together with Gary Morland’s original production and Vodzilla’s additional production and mixes, the project has developed an identity of its own.
