I Fell in Love by Sharl: Review
How many of you self-destructive gal pals can relate to getting your heart broken by the wrong guys? If you want to throw up your hands to a different sound, Sharl will leave you in awe. There’s a pop and blast in ’I Fell in Love’, that’s somehow muted but still has such a vibe!
The lyrics are far more relatable, and I personally think this song brings out her voice the most compared to her other releases. Before this, I had heard ‘Game’ which is a whole other vibe, sure, but that’s more electro-fied. I could honestly listen to her for hours because it takes me back to the early 2010 era of music.
I can hear Grimes and very subtle Ellie Goulding in the sound. On the other hand, there’s the ominous Evanescence in it, as Sharl stretches her shimmering, heart-piercing vocals. It’s like she’s prepared to claw out your heart, but she keeps singing about the sad destruction she’s brought upon herself.
So lock yourself in your space, blast ‘I Fell in Love’ by Sharl on Spotify, and be sure to click on the Repeat button to play it in a loop. There’s no second creation next to this badass play that quite sounds the same, for sure!
