After a series of hits that once dominated music platforms like βSomeone Waiting at Their Door,β βRoses In The Sky,β and βAll The Words We Never Saidβ,Β Lorenzo Gabanizza has recently made a comeback with a new country rock song βI guess I am the only one.β
Β With familiar tunes but still making his fans excited, in this comeback Lorenzo is teamed up with Jeff Christie who features a room full of Grammy and other award-winning musicians and engineers.
Behind its bright melody and catchy refrain, the song carries a very deep message. Itβs an accusation to the way people live life today, their kingdom of egotism, caring more about the superficial things such as money, nice cars and nobody anymore seems to be interested in what really matters in life: LOVE. They are so absorbed in their materialistic pursuits, theyβre oblivious of love and its glory. Itβs also the aching accusation towards the way society seems to exclude diversity instead of welcoming it.
This creates a sense of isolation in the songwriter that maybe he is the only one, the only one left, left behind by the pace of life in the society. He asserts that βAnd Iβll never fool myself being someone that Iβm not.β or βThey believe in money but I believe in loveβ
These lyrics, along with the cheerful melody and energetic vocals, show a more positive point of view of the artist. No matter what everyone else is, he chooses to love and enjoy his own lifestyle.
