I Like It But I Do It by Beatdenker: Album Review
Beatdenker’s album “I Like It But I Do It” is a mixture of electronic sounds that create an otherworldly aura. Each of the tracks is layered with elements of dubstep, drum & bass, a bit of glitch, and trip-hop. The record is composed in a very experimental fashion too, with creative attributes evident here and there. Thus, it makes for an interesting experience to hear it from start to finish. Also, the music video for the album is like a mini-movie with trippy imagery and colorful animation. Altogether, the vibe is pretty wild, and it’s a must-hear for any artistic individual.
Each title of this album playfully places each letter of Beatdenker’s name right beside it, and that is authenticity at work. Going hand in hand with that is the artist’s signature sound of cyberpunk-style melodies infused with heavy beats. For instance, tracks such as “Do (E)” and “Haha (E)” have a very futuristic tone within them. The percussion’s time signatures are also experimental and generate an interesting tension with the music. Other songs, such as the opening number “I (B),” evoke a bit of an adventure through their gripping instrumental sequence. At first, it’s an exciting segment of glitch EDM, but it transitions into this mysterious synth-driven segment in its concluding passages.
Folks, if you enjoy psychedelic art and the music that goes along with it, then you should check out Beatdenker’s album “I Like It But I Do It.”
