I Love Danger by littleDNGR: Review
The dynamic duo of Grammy and Oscars nominated songwriters Joshua Bartholomew and Lisa Harriton, littleDNGR goes full “Bonnie and Clyde” and jumps off the proverbial cliff in their new single, I Love Danger.
Making their return after almost two years following their debut single, Brand New World, this song was in fact supposed to be the kick-the-door-open entrance as a band. But the global pandemic situation back then had other plans and it didn’t really match the vibe the world was in. As things have gotten back to normal again, let’s go full ham!
Quotable lyrics:
“You got the medicine that I need
Intergalactic love remedy
I get a little psychopathic
When you’re not around.
Serpentine,
God I’ll die if you won’t be my dopamine
Gimme that love sex magic!”
As the name suggests, the song embodies the full reckless, carefree spirit of Rock ‘n Roll and can be considered as a theme song of the band. Kicking off with a heavy bass and synth it’s followed by Lisa’s infectious vocal melodies. Fast, punchy and catchy, this anthem is a fun mix of the recklessness of rock and the captivating snappiness of pop. The music and the lyrics fully embrace the notion of chasing a thrill for whatever it takes and there’s something so appealing in that. Although it may sound like a straightforward electro-pop-rock song from these words so far, the duo doesn’t shy away from showing off their Oscars-nominated songwriting finesse in little snippets here and there. And if you like you play with fire or always in search of a thrill, consider this your theme song too!
