I Want It More Than You by Mick J Clark: Review
A modern-day poet and musical genius Mick J Clark tells a thoughtful tale in “I Want It More Than You”. The entire progression of the song has a certain concert finale vibe to it. With the subtle blues chord sections, the vision is quite vivid of a whole arena going wild when the first note hits. “I Want It More Than You” is a track that Mick conveys his soul’s intent, and through the balanced tempo it wholeheartedly comes alive.
The track has a somber entrance, and the entire instrumentation feels like the start of a melancholic film. As it unfolds, the scenes get more and more intense. It feels very personal, and that’s the song’s strong point. The guitar riffs are at times played on clean tones with variations, and at other times with some lightly distorted power chords. Aside from that, there is a shadowy piano sequence that keeps the rhythm structure strong and acts as a sort of skeleton for the track.
“I Want It More Than You” feels like an artist’s letter to the world. Mick’s singing is quite inviting, so won’t you hear his story? I bet you’ll enjoy it, also find the transitions in the track quite interesting. ‘Cause, there’s a bridge section that comes out of nowhere, and it is a nice surprise! Finally, the guitar solos that flow in various parts of the track, have a very silky aesthetic. The playing style is very smooth and fits the scale perfectly.
