‘I’m So Bored’ is a tune by Tali Flynt that talks about yearning to break away from the repetitive routine that every single one of us could encounter over our existence. It’s an upbeat indie rock/pop song, that has a depth of creativity and freedom written all over within a space full of melodies.
Tali’s voice is able to flow so nicely through the muted chord pattern that the guitar arrangement blends automatically. It’s like opening a brand new book of stories, and the first chapter is singing a song that’s definitely worth listening to. As soon as the percussion work begins to kick in and some fuzzy, distorted guitars begin to beautify the ambiance, Tali launches into a chorus that is both enticing and layered.
The song as a whole is really upbeat, and it tells a story in which Tali’s voice does a wonderful job of swinging from fantastic highs to emotional lows. Her vocal style exudes a lot of melancholy, especially in the verse portions of the song. When the chorus begins, it has a forceful and energizing quality; this is due to the fact that the drums compete for attention with the other instruments. “I’m So Bored” is anything but boring, in fact, it’s a sensational pop-rock track that will surely resonate with you, as it did with me. I especially thought the visuals from the music video were adventurous, and the song’s jam fit perfectly within the scene.
