Mark Wink, the artist moniker of the Austrian producer and songwriter Mark Winkler is a wizard when it comes to creating futuristic music and accompanying music videos. This audio-visual wizard’s latest creation ‘IN A DREAM’ truly feels like being stuck in a euphoric dream.

When it comes to Mark Wink’s songs, there are two different aspects to discuss namely audio and video. When it comes to the audio, it’s a song piled with captivating melodies one on top of another. The song starts with an airy bass synth setting up the ambiance for the main synth melody to start building up. Syncopated looped melodies and punchy beats are added with each measure as the song progresses. The song slows down for a while but that’s only to build some tension before bursting into the vivid climax. The robotic vocal line and the spoken words put that extra oomph to the futuristic sound of the song. The production quality is clean and top-notch!

Now on the visual side of things, the accompanying music video goes hand-in-hand with the song’s audio. It’s like that ultra-futuristic sci-fi scenario we have in our head when we try to imagine what would it be like 2000 years later or so. Its production quality is just as flashy, clean, vivid, and futuristic as the audio. The combination of 3D animation and live action is so amazingly done, you can hardly tell the difference. If you’re a fan of Daft Punk and early 2000s EDM, you’re gonna love this song.
