In the music video “Hello,” Fivio Foreign, KayCyy and Chlöe show off their soft side. Another of the Brooklynite’s romantic interpretations on drill music is the tune ‘B.I.B.L.E.’
Fivio Foreign, a fellow Brooklynite, published a video for “Hello” on Wednesday, continuing the Pop Smoke-founded legacy of romantic drill music (May 11). KayCyy and Chloe Bailey, now known as Chlöe, contribute guest vocals to the B.I.B.L.E. single.
The music video features Fivio entertaining the Parkwood protege in a normal drill environment but relaxing his tone for the sensuous slow jam, which includes dice games and exotic whips. “Hello” follows the same formula as “What’s My Name,” another B.I.B.L.E. hit for the women starring Queen Naija and Coi Leray.
It’s strange that a music video for “Hello” comes before a visual for “What’s My Name.” While the former includes the song’s greatest star, the latter has charted better and received more radio exposure thanks to a recognized sample from Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.”
In any case, Fivio is coming off a fantastic 2021 and is on track to have another profitable year. His Donda collaboration with Kanye West, “Off the Grid,” reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August. Following the release of his top 10 debut album, B.I.B.L.E., in April 2022, he was named as a performer at Hot 97’s Summer Jam.
