In the Organ Loft at Midnight by Sir Bobby Jukebox: Album Review
Sir Bobby Jukebox is a musical act with a refreshing take on funk and indietronica. Both genres are already pretty exciting, but our artist in the spotlight today, takes it on a whole other level with his album “In the Organ Loft at Midnight.” This is accomplished through eccentric songwriting and an exciting rhythm section. Thus, each piece will enlighten and put a smile on your face all the while.
From the 80s-style dance anthem, “Tropical Bird Lingo” to the piano pop cadence of “Hire-A-Heart,” Sir Bobby Jukebox shows us his melodic bravado. Both songs are catchy in their own regard, and it’s the eccentric aura that’ll spark your intrigue the most. The harmony stays with you like a friend during harsh times and allows the music to sort of heal you. Thus, that’s a special trait to have for any musician! Furthermore, the funk train “You Lit a Candle Wrong…” is such a stellar soundscape to absorb. An electrifying bass and synth arrangement takes us on a ride to remember. In addition to that, the vocals are pretty enchanting as well.
“Totally Outta Sync” is where the album’s diversity is felt. This is due to the transitions and chord changes of the track. There’s also an essence of avant-garde present due to the experimental synth style. Altogether, a work of art, that I’ll definitely recommend to anyone!
