Hailing from Upper Austria, Alternative Rock band AURORA BY NOON, led by bassist and producer Markus Sumereder(Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and Skunk Anansie) isn’t afraid to get loud for what matters. Their new single, “In The Shelter of Mother Earth,” is a rock anthem that punches you in the gut and holds a mirror to society.
“In The Shelter of Mother Earth” haunts the speakers with tense guitar riffs and a thudding drumbeat. The vocals are equally powerful. Christian Keller starts with a low tone, then unleashes a torrent of raw emotion in his earnest and sincerely affected, deep voice.
“In The Shelter of Mother Earth” isn’t afraid to tackle tough subjects. The lyrics portray humanity’s impact on the planet, from the beauty of nature to the harsh realities of poverty, and war. The line, “We felt guilty about the abomination of the human race” is a wake-up call, urging us to take a hard look at our actions.
Despite its heavy themes, “In The Shelter of Mother Earth” isn’t all doom and gloom. There’s a flicker of hope in the desperate cries for healing and freedom. It’s a call to arms, urging us to come together and protect our planet before it’s too late.
Fans of classic rock giants like Journey, Bush, and Foo Fighters will find a lot to love here. AURORA BY NOON takes those influences and injects hard rock with a modern and timely urgency.
Listen to “In The Shelter of Mother Earth” by AURORA BY NOON and ponder on your place in the world while jamming to the gritty music.
