In the video “Me, Myself & I,” 5 Seconds of Summer navigate heartbreak. The third song from 5SOS5, the group’s upcoming album, is “Me, Myself & I.”
5 Seconds of Summer released the music video for their latest single, “Me, Myself & I,” just days after releasing the song (May 13).
“Bulls—, I feed myself / Me and my selfish appetite / I did not need your support / Now it’s just me, me, and I,” the foursome sing in the devastating video.
The song “Me, Myself & I” is 5SOS5’s third single, following “Take My Hand” and “Complete Mess.”
Luke Hemmings described the album as “the band’s most personal work to date” when asked what to anticipate from it. “The record is unquestionably introspective.” Like many others in recent years, I believe the only way to look was inward. In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1, he said, “Well, for us anyway.” “And lyrically, it was a tremendous topic to delve into, I don’t know, everything that occurred to us.” Being on the road and not doing this every day was a new experience for us. And the entire album is, in my opinion, the most contemplative, the most lyrically beautiful, and… I don’t know. It’s just got so much heart.”
On September 23, 5SOS5 will be released independently by BMG. The band announced on Tuesday (May 10) that a deluxe CD and digital version of the album will include a total of 19 tracks; the record is currently available for pre-order now.
