Ink Element drops sensational new song ‘Rotten Underground’
The experience of being shunned in a foreign professional setting where cultural differences are actually pretended to be real is described in the song. It conveys both the frailty of being alone in a foreign country and the strength needed to keep fighting.
The song’s lengthy progression traverses emotions like resentment and anger before changing to a more colorful tone that expresses perspectives, hope, and peace. The song was mixed in the UK by sound engineer Tom Hazel, and Barbara Klein, a filmmaker based in Berlin, directed the accompanying music video.
In Paris, a stage adaptation of Bernard-Marie Koltes’ play “Dans la solitude des champs de coton” featured an early performance of this song.
